Information we handle
When you create an account or use CheckWarranty, we handle account details such as your name and email address, authentication and session information, device identifiers and scan requests you submit, scan results, API usage, credit balances, and support messages. We also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate users, perform warranty lookups, deliver results, maintain scan history and credits, provide support, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Device identifiers may be sent to the relevant manufacturer or data provider to obtain warranty information. Please avoid submitting personal information that is not needed for a lookup.
Payments and service providers
Paddle processes checkout payments as merchant of record. We receive transaction and payment status information needed to credit your account and provide billing history; payment card details are entered into Paddle Checkout. We may use hosting, email, and authentication providers to run the service. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, those providers send us the account information needed to sign you in.
Cookies, retention, and security
We use cookies or similar storage for sign-in and session security. We retain account, scan, transaction, and security records while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable legal and record-keeping requirements.
